John Andrews gave a short talk (and demonstration)
of the history and development of the guitar in
jazz, illustrated with plenty of short recorded
examples of various artists, and brought along some
of the different types of instruments used.
Mike Botterill, demonstrated some of the sounds
that one can get from a variety of guitars, including
a guitar synthesiser. Mike is a very fine local
jazz guitarist, and he and John perform together
in a jazz guitar/vocal duo called Gemini-jazz.

The duo play in local to Bournemouth hotels, restaurants,
jazz clubs and for many private functions.
